Purpose Financial Website.Position Summary This position reports to Sr. Manager, Benefits and is responsible for being the primary contact for day-to-day benefit plans, programs and initiatives. Responsibilities include managing employee and manager inquiries, coordinating program administration, creating wellness content and calendars, onsite support for Homebase events, maintaining data systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Job Responsibility- Day-to-Day Benefits Administration: Act as the primary resource for employees, managers, and internal/external partners on all benefits, leave of absence, and wellness matters. Serve as a trusted advisor on policies, procedures, federal/state requirements, and eligibility criteria. Facilitate in-person and virtual meetings, consultations, and presentations to educate stakeholders on benefits programs and available resources. Provide support throughout the full lifecycle of leave of absence, disability programs, benefits administration, etc.
- Case & Data Management: Maintain case tracking systems, manage enrollment processes, create and maintain spreadsheets and databases. Pull, audit, and generate timely and accurate reports on eligibility, participation, program utilization, and other metrics. Prepare special reports and perform research as requested by management.
- Compliance & Regulatory: Ensure all processes comply with company policies and applicable federal/state regulations (WC, FMLA, ADA, etc.). Develop and maintain knowledge of benefits programs, leave of absence, and disability offerings. Monitor market trends and legislative changes, escalating for awareness as needed.
- Wellness Program Support: Support wellness initiatives by collaborating with HR and leaders to ensure benefits align with employee wellbeing goals and strategy. Create wellness calendars, campaign content, and program materials. Administer benefit programs, campaigns, and initiatives. Conduct individual and group meetings with employees to understand evolving needs and wellness priorities.
Job Responsibilities Cont.- Employee Feedback & Insights: Gather and analyze employee feedback and sentiment regarding benefits offerings to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Use insights to form recommendations for strategic benefits decisions.
- Homebase Events & Engagement: Develop and maintain monthly Homebase event calendars. Coordinate logistics including food, supplies, setup/breakdown, and cleanup. Provide onsite support for Homebase events and company-wide benefits activities. Create and present benefits and leave of absence materials as needed.
- HR Systems Support: Assist with HR systems support, audits, and benefit eligibility/enrollment as required. Pull and audit reports from external systems of record. Maintain/update benefit training manuals/SOPs.
Education Required BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, or other relevant area is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience Required Minimum of two years' experience, preferably multi-state, in benefits administration-or equivalent relevant experience in human resources, business administration. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with solid interpersonal abilities and the capacity to connect with employees at all levels. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is required for success in this role.
Knowledge Required Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate benefits information effectively to groups and individuals. This includes delivering engaging presentations, training sessions, and facilitating discussions. The candidate must be comfortable translating technical benefits information into accessible language that resonates with diverse employee audiences.
Ability to understand and ensure compliance with company policies/procedures, and governing laws (i.e., FMLA, ADA, etc.). Capacity to manage confidential data with integrity, sound judgment, awareness, and business ethics. Positive team player with a sense of urgency and capacity to overcome obstacles.
