Description:

Role: Middleware Administrator
Location: Remote
Duration: 18 Months

Description:
Design, configure, install and upgrade environments (e.g., integrated, performance) through the product life cycle (development, test, UAT, production). Troubleshoot middleware environment errors (simple & complex) and provide immediate and long-term solutions. Handle and resolve production issues & ensure SLAs are met. Configure Cots Products (Java, Jboss, Mule. Informatica and OpenText) in the supported different types of environments in conjunction with development and architecture.
Skills:
o 5 + years of experience on Middleware Administration
o Installation and configuration of applications in JBoss, Informatica, OpenText engine Mule, AMQ projects.
o Enabled SSL Security in Web Environments for IBM HTTP Server & Web Sphere application Server(Apache, IBM HTTP Server, IIS)
o Responsible for standard operations and maintenance support activities such as patch installation, software upgrades, log diagnostics and system monitoring.
o Installed and configured Apache Server and generated plug-in files.
o Experience creating scripts (Command line scripting, WsAdmin, Shell, PowerShell)
o Knowledge of JBoss, network architecture, multiple operating systems.
o Experience in performance tuning of JVM parameters for large distributed applications
o Monitoring the JVM performance by analyzing Heap Size and garbage collection
o Experience with configuring, installing and administration of ESB products such as Mule ESB, AMQ.
o Exposure and understanding of configuring proxies
o Experience working on Linux & Windows environments is a must.
o Exposure and understanding of server shell scripting in a windows environment
o Good understanding of build and deploy procedures
o Strong experience in working with server teams and understanding of server configurations for large JEE applications
o Strong understanding of configuring clustering and load balancing for server products
o Strong understanding of network file systems
o Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
o Self-motivated and driven with a strong desire to complete assigned projects.
o Responsible for system and security administration.
o Performance tuning, monitoring, installation, upgrades and license management.
o Perform application deployments when necessary.
