Job Title: Senior Engineer V
Job Location: Pomona, CA 91768
Job Duration: 6+ Months (with possible extension)

Pay Range: $98.77/hr. to $111.73/hr. on W2
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Education Requirement:

  • C. Bachelor's Degree.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities / Workload:
  • Technical Leadership: Lead civil engineering efforts across all project phases-scoping, design, cost estimation, scheduling, and construction support.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (project management, construction, environmental, real estate) and external agencies.
  • Field Engagement: Conduct job walks and provide engineering construction support across diverse geographical areas for Transmission, Substation and Distribution facilities. Can be 1-2 field days per week based on business need.
  • Contractor Oversight: Manage civil engineering consultants-define Products, review proposals, ensure quality, and maintain schedules.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform QA for consultant deliverables, peer reviews, manage purchase orders, and approve invoices.
  • Permitting & Compliance: Secure necessary permits and approvals from local jurisdiction agencies for civil engineering Product and work with business partners to support state, federal and other agency approvals.
  • Project Management: Balance multiple project schedules, provide technical leadership for civil engineering Product, monitor budgets and provide proactive communication with key stakeholders.
  • Safety: Embed safety into engineering designs and promote a safety-first culture both in the office and on-site.

Desired Skills / Attributes:
  • Experienced in land development for electrical substation facilities and transmission access in varied terrain.
  • Familiarity with road and highway design.
  • Familiarity with storm damage response and mitigation.
  • Skilled in contractor management and purchase order oversight.
  • Knowledge of California permitting processes.
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with ArcGIS.
