Description:

As a System Protection Engineer (m/f/diverse), you will be part of a motivated, collaborative, and skilled team of System Protection Specialists in a global environment responsible for maintaining and operating our System Protection tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide third-level support for systems protection solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve complex security-related issues and incidents, collaborating with external consulting companies or vendors when necessary.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  4. Support the implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  5. Perform regular security audits and health checks to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures.
  6. Participate in IT and business projects related to the implementation of System Protection tools within Continental.
  7. Provide training and guidance to first and second-level support teams on security best practices and solutions.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation for security configurations, processes, and procedures.
  9. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to foster continuous improvement.

Ihr Profil

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cybersecurity and systems protection, ensuring the security and resilience of our systems against various threats.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in Systems Protection, Cybersecurity, or related roles, with a focus on 2nd or 3rd level support.

Experience with management and administration of tools such as CrowdStrike or Trellix ACC.

Experience with other security tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection is a plus.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for security automation.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat modeling, risk management, and incident response.

Relevant certifications are advantageous.
